I recently visited Athens, Greece, and was fortunate to visit both the National Archaeological Museum and the Epigraphic Museum. Seeing inscriptions on stone from the 8th century BC, as well as hundreds of statues of people long forgotten, left me thinking about the quest for eternity in an impermanent world.
